Cinderella in Spain, part I
One of the first local episodes to be featured on Crescendo! is
CINDERELLA IN SPAIN / CENICIENTA EN ESPAÑA, a delightful bi-lingual light opera composed by Mary Carol Warwick (Lumberton/Houston), lyrics by Kate Pogue (Houston), directed and orchestrated by Mark Andersen (Lumberton), produced by Robeson County Arts Council and Carolina Civic Center
Directed by Mark Andersen (Lumberton), a noted Recording and Concert Artist, who recently returned home to Lumberton after a successful career in New York, Boston, Paris, and Seattle. The cast members for this production are Janiel Miller (Utah), Laura Morgan (Pinehurst), Danny Oakden (New York City), Joshua Conyers (Winston-Salem), and Melvin Ezzell (Whiteville). Costumes designed by Jamey Varnadore (Charlotte), and properties by Lynn Andersen (Lumberton). This production was presented at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater on May 14, 2016.
International Artists Foundation proudly presents Crescendo! a television program for the performing arts, now produced in Lumberton, North Carolina. Your host, Mark Andersen (Lumberton), brings you a concert right in your home each week on WNCP-TV from Pembroke, NC (TimeWarner Cable Channel 6). Crescendo! is also aired to most US cities from New York City (TimeWarner Cable) and Seattle WA (Comcast).

The program features classical music styles with Mark Andersen on Organ, Harp, Flute and Piano, Lynn Andersen on Solo English Handbells, with Janiel Miller, Laura Morgan, Melvin Ezzell, Blues Guitarist Lakota John and Kin, and many other guests as well. Many of the wonderful performances and artists of the area are featured as we tour churches, points of interest, and concert halls to bring you the finest in music.
Historic Theater. This setting of Cinderella is for children and adults alike, and includes a wonderful bi-lingual interpretation of the original fairy tale. It is brought to life by five actor/singers, accompanied by an orchestral ensemble.
